Temptation
I've trying to post this blog using Flock's abilities to post directly from the browser.
Under eMac PowerPC G4 (3.3) 1 GHz I have had several problems. Resuming: I could not. Should I upgrade my processor?
First Impression in Flock: Reminds me Deer Park alpha 2 in more than one way: The preference pane and security stuff, for example.
Look and Feel of Flock: Quite friendly to Windows Vista, decent implementation of Cocoa in the way Camino does.
Flock takes use and advantage of the Mozilla core, what is good, and still in its pre-developer beta phase, no more words could be added for today.

Mature teacher, Part Two
Probably I might delay myself posting in this blog next weeks due to a contract service required by Crea Formación today.
From tomorrow until the end of November I'll be training a course of Introduction to Programming and a WYSIWYG Dreamweaver intensive following the program of the school.
Introduction to programming will be done with Processing, a good tool to learn by coding orientated to designers and multimedia developers.
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and sound. It is used by students, artists, designers, architects, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. It is created to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook and professional production tool. Processing is developed by artists and designers as an alternative to commercial software tools in the same domain.
The Processing Environment (Integrated Development Environment or IDE) is a simple and usable editor for writing and running programs. When the "run" button is clicked, the program compiles, the display window opens and the software runs inside. The toolbar provides functionality for running and stopping programs, creating a new sketch, opening, saving, and exporting. Additional commands are available through the menus. The message area gives feedback while saving and exporting and also shows the locations of errors when programs are compiled. The text area presents messages and can be written to with the print() and println() programming functions.
First time I heard and started using Processing was back in 2004, due to the influenece of Mr. Brendan Dawes. I have great admiration and respect for Mr. Dawes and his metodology in learning and experimenting that has enlight me and still does in my current profession.
I also had have always big consideration for people who dedicate part of their valous time educating human beings like me.
Now it's time to put in practice all I have learned.

Chanson
Magical concert from Oscar Abril Ascaso + Sedcontra Avec Des Ex -Ivo Naïf et Antuan. A meeting of old friends doing the musician thing and remembering denses and absinthed atmospheres of Serge GainsBourg and Bad Seeds.
Old memories came back to my mind after receiveng a gentle SMS invitation by Groc, founder meber of Ivo Naïf and Bergman, whom we did two or three lost translations in music years ago ;-),
To see again all those colleagues performing on the stage of an old theater, bring back to my mind old posters images, even this time we were not in Liverpool but Barcelona instead. The evening concert was brilliant, well-performed and with sense of humour. One thing: As a friend of philosophers, I'm not into Levinas and all that bunch of french philosophers. In fact, I've never read them, omitting Foucault in the list.
Unneedless to say, yesterday's gig was the perfect play of the most interesting, clever and provocative people ( excluding Delfin, of course) from Barcelona's avantgarde in the ninetees, last century. They marked an epoch. And they still do.
Oscar Abril Ascaso + Sedcontra Avec Des Ex -Ivo Naïf et Antuan is the penultimate sensation of the chanson if there ever has been one. From parameters close to French popular music of the 20th century they journey to the deeps of this country’s contemporary philosophy.
The result are pop songs where there are comfortably, in an uncanny natural way, texts by Jacques Derrida, François Lyotard, Emmanuel Lévinas, Georges Bataille, Maurice Blanchot, Gilles Deleuze and Pierre Klossovsky. The performing line-up is shaped in a “supergroup” joining the names of the original formations: Oscar Abril Ascaso + Sedcontra, a duet which in the nineties did their peculiar journey from after-punk towards noise, passing by literature and performance.
Ivo Naïf, a forgotten gem of Barcelona’s nineties, a literary and musical unity. As they say, they created songs available to the biggest illiterate. That’s because, as everybody knows, in France as equals to Catalonia, even the biggest illiterate can speak French.

Good old days
Answering to your question: Macromedia Lingo is a programming language much more "human" and stronger than ECMA specifications , in my modest opinion.
Expressions like
The study logic in college days, was like an open door letting me discover the fascinating world of programming and authoring. With the years, lot of headaches and gratitude ( mostly due to BASIC).
Back to 1996, Dave Yang contribute a few pages for a Director's programming book.
Those were the old good days gone. Human-liked languages, easy to understand, clear, and functional.
Back to 1997, we were reading reading with passion and and practicing, and what's most important, authoring and obtaining results.
Funny to see in actionthe use for books, as Schopenhauer did.

Siberia
24 years is enough to bring into the world a masterpiece. Echo and the Bunnymen's Siberia.
This (your blog) is not really about music, but about notation, harmony and perfection in little things.Often, I post about new media, languages, or all that might matter people like you and me. Since we were born, remember?, music has had been an important unconscient influence in our daily life. We got by music an education school and college did not.
It would be unjust saying The Bunnymen are not the most influential band in pop and rock music from the last two decades. Even if you never had hear a word about them. They are.
There is a brilliant David Withingand's article today in PixelSurgeon, and I encourage and beg you a quiet reading of his review.
"This is not a disc to be dismissed in one or two listens between screaming kids or corporate deadlines".
He found the words. They say it all.
It's so cold in Siberia. So cold.

Lust
Lust by Bergman, is a site we designed last summer to accomplish the needs and goals of musician and composer Xavier Bergman.
We made it rule. Today, one year later, we have had discovered with great pleasure a mention of our work in Design Snack. Thank you boys!.
Since 2004, Design Snack has been presenting Cookie Awards to new web sites that boast great design and functionality. They do this to acknowledge the recipient's creativity and inspire those who need a little, shall we say, inspiration.
To kill your curiosity there is a link to Bergman's website under links submenu in this (your) blog.
Also another to our newest product: Ilaria Consolo, currently under development.
More Tomorrow.

News from Segonquart
Segonquart Studio is not dead, honey.
It's true, news from Segonquart website right now. It's true; our server is down. And buried.
However, we're currently developing two new websites. Painters and designers to be honest.
Also editing some video and composing some music for multimedia, websites et al.
Redesigning Segonquart takes a lot of effort, and we expect one or two weeks to be finished. New mail accounts and a brand new look. Same logo.
Friday, the approach.

Searchrolling it
Since two weeks ago, I'm into Rollyo.
Rollyo is still in its beta phase, offering to roll own your own search engine. A brilliant application of what these days is known as Web 2.0; powered by Yahoo! search.
Designed in a minimal way, red is the second primary color, followed by grays; what gives you a strong and trustful feeling. Yes and Not become suggested through black and whiteergeebees. Must say I miss a few yellow tonalities.
Dan Cederholm is the professional who did Rollyo's website CSS. Mr. Cederholm is a web designer and author living in Salem, Massachusetts. As founder of SimpleBits, Dan's design studio, he brings years of experience in designing and building sites with web standards.
Rollyo's search engine is oriented in many ways to a community based sources they trust making this searchroll the perfect tool for a hungry analyst, with the smell of preferences and tendencies flowing around the wide web.
I like this fast-food company's "employee of the month" attitude, I mean: To be nominated "High Roller" if your searchroll becomes popular with the Rollyo community.
Fast Food for the search engines. It sounds hard. I know. But I'm loving it.

The Scrivener
According to an anonymous post received yesterday in this ( your ) blog:
"I now recalled all the quiet mysteries which I had noted in the man. I remembered that he never spoke but to answer; that though at intervals he had considerable time to himself, yet I had never seen him reading—no, not even a newspaper; that for long periods he would stand looking out, at his pale window behind the screen, upon the dead brick wall; I was quite sure he never visited any refectory or eating house; while his pale face clearly indicated that he never drank beer like Turkey, or tea and coffee even, like other men; that he never went any where in particular that I could learn; never went out for a walk, unless indeed that was the case at present; that he had declined telling who he was, or whence he came, or whether he had any relatives in the world; that though so thin and pale, he never complained of ill health. And more than all, I remembered a certain unconscious air of pallid—how shall I call it?—of pallid haughtiness, say, or rather an austere reserve about him, which had positively awed me into my tame compliance with his eccentricities, when I had feared to ask him to do the slightest incidental thing for me, even though I might know, from his long-continued motionlessness, that behind his screen he must be standing in one of those dead-wall reveries of his."

Things I've learned today
One:
Excellent new update for Linotype FontExplorer X. In its version 1.0cf2 (build C6F1). It fixes all minor bugs we have noticed using this application.
Let me recommend you FontExplorer, not pretending to be unloyal to original Mac' Font Book, if you deal with Fonts for print or screen ( my case).
Two:
Master work done by Moses Gunesch in his beta Zigo/Fuse Engine .mxp on beta.
Yesterday it was delivered a beta copy of this component extension to Segonquart Studio mail receipt ( mine, in other words) and after its implementation I just can say it works fine and eliminates
But from now on is easy to customize your tweenings and easings from the properties menu in Flash.
A real master-piece. Congratulations Moses.
